KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza has launched a skincare and make-up line called SimplySiti.

The 31-year-old pop darling, noted not only for her illustrious singing career but also her sweet looks, opened the event with a song entitled Rahsiaku Milikmu (My Secret Is Yours), the special theme song behind her product line.

Siti wrote the lyrics herself. She said the song served as the inspiration for her beauty brand.

“My team and I worked very hard for two years to realize this long-held dream of mine.

“When I finally decided to do it, my husband was fully behind me.

“He’d seen me spending hours at the beauty counters whenever we went out,” she quipped as her businessman husband, Datuk Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, and her family looked on at the white-themed event held at a hotel here.

SimplySiti, which features both skincare and cosmetic products, are made in South Korea.

The songstress was also grateful for the halal certification her line has obtained from the Islamic Development Department (Jakim).

SimplySiti has three ranges – brightening, anti-aging and acne-prone skin. All three contain the star product, the Simply 5 cream that moisturizes, treats, protects and acts as a make-up base and foundation.

“It is perfectly suited for all women, but especially for Muslim women, as it provides them a simple skincare and make-up regime after performing prayers. The Simply 5 cream cuts the make-up process down to one simple step,” said Siti.

The affordable range is now available at all Watson’s stores nationwide.

Siti is also in talks with Jusco to carry the products.

Next month, she will be launching a special concept kiosk at JB Central complex in Johor Baru.

Plans are afoot to take SimplySiti international.
